LYKAIOH’s Commission Terms of Service

By commissioning me, the Client agrees to the following terms.

1. Turnaround TimeDigital image commissions may take up to 3 months or longer depending on health, queue order, complexity, personal or work-related circumstances, or unforeseen delays.
The Client will be kept updated or notified if delays occur.2. Client CommunicationLyka will provide updates via email or private message when necessary.
Clients are welcome to check in respectfully for updates, reassurance, or reminders.3. DeadlinesThe Client must clearly communicate any deadline expectations before payment.
LYKAIOH reserves the right to decline work that cannot reasonably be completed by the requested deadline.4. RevisionsClients will have the opportunity to request changes during key stages such as sketch and flat color.
Revisions outside these stages may be limited depending on scope.5. Artistic IntegrityLYKAIOH reserves the right to reject critique that requests changes to core stylistic elements such as anatomy, coloring style, or rendering if such changes reduce the artistic quality or intent of the piece.6. PaymentThe Client will be quoted the full price in USD before work begins.
Invoices are issued via the agreed payment platform.
The Client may either pay in full before work begins, or pay 50 percent upfront and the remaining 50 percent before the coloring stage is completed.
Work will not begin until the first payment is confirmed.7. Cancellations and RefundsIf the Client cancels during the sketch stage, a 50 percent refund will be issued.
If the total commission cost is under 45 USD, no refund will be issued.
If the Client cancels during or after the coloring stage, no refund will be issued.8. Artist-Initiated CancellationLYKAIOH reserves the right to cancel a commission and issue a full or partial refund if there are persistent issues with communication, inappropriate or disrespectful behavior, or an inability to proceed due to language barriers.9. Right to RefuseLYKAIOH reserves the right to decline any commission for any reason.10. Display and Portfolio UseLYKAIOH retains the right to publicly display completed commissions in portfolios, galleries, or on social media.
At the Client’s request, made before payment, public display may be delayed or withheld entirely.
If full copyright is purchased by the Client, this display right does not apply.11. Copyright and Usage RightsUnless the Client has paid a 200 USD copyright fee, the following terms apply:
• The artwork is for personal use only
• The Client may not sell the artwork, produce merchandise, or use it for commercial purposes
• The Client may print a single personal-use copy for display
• The Client may crop or resize the artwork for avatars or graphics for personal use only, with visible credit to LYKAIOH where reasonably possible
• The Client may not alter, redraw, or color-adjust the image
• The Client retains rights to their character or characters, but not to the artwork itself
Unauthorized use, editing, or resale may result in action for loss of income12. AI, Machine Learning, and Blockchain UseUse of LYKAIOH’s artwork in any form related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or blockchain technology is strictly prohibited.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Uploading the artwork to AI training datasets
• Using the artwork in any AI generation, testing, or style-transfer tools
• Contributing the artwork to machine learning projects of any kind
• Including the artwork in NFTs, cryptocurrency projects, or any blockchain-based serviceNo use of LYKAIOH’s work in these contexts is allowed under any circumstances.
Permission will not be granted now or in the future.13. Sketch ReuseSketches, thumbnails, or early drafts that are rejected by the Client may be revised and reused by LYKAIOH for future commissions or personal works.14. DeliveryThe final commissioned artwork will be delivered digitally via WeTransfer or Google Drive to the Client’s provided email.
The default format is PNG unless otherwise requested.
No physical shipping is provided unless previously agreed to in writing.15. Age RequirementThe Client must be 18 years or older due to PayPal’s terms of service.16. AgreementBy sending payment, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above terms.
